As mentioned in last month’s editorial, the Venues team will be exhibiting at The Meetings Show this July. It will be the second year that we have taken a stand at the show, which is the must attend event for those involved in the UK’s meeting industry.
The AmaZing Venues group is certainly deserving of its name. Since 2008, the company has rescued historic venues throughout Britain from various states of disrepair, ensuring that they remain for future generations to cherish. Many of you may have noticed a number of changes to the Venues.org.uk website recently. We have been working hard on adding new features to enhance the venue search capabilities and to better display the spectacular venues listed with us. We have also been working on a new mobile-friendly version of the site, which was completed just two weeks ago.

Park Plaza Hotels has officially launched an Indoor Positioning System (IPS) in the group's Westminster Bridge venue. Available as a part of the venue’s event app, and as the result of a partnership with events agency The Live Group, the IPS will help conference attendees orientate themselves and find others on an interactive floorplan which tracks their movements in real time.
