The Enterprise Hotel, situated on Hogarth Road in Kensington, entertained more than 16 Events Industry professionals on Friday 18th May, at a Diamond Jubilee Themed Networking Lunch. Attendee’s had the chance to make new connections, discuss industry issues and generate new business leads, all in a monarch and union jack themed environment! monarch and union jack themed environment! The Enterprise Hotel holds seasonal networking lunches, with previous themes including ‘Friday 13 th Lucky Networking’ and a ‘Britain for Events: Experience Asia’.

The invite only event saw key industry players enjoy a 3 course lunch of fine Asian cuisine, along with a selection of wines and Asian beers. The menu included a buffet of traditional appetisers such as onion bhaji’s and chicken tikka, followed by a selection of not too spicy curry’s, along with a range

of sundries, sauces and dips, finished off with a creamy chocolate dessert accompanied with mango and pistachio ice cream.

Kripen Dhrona, Event and Marketing Manager at The Enterprise Hotel, said "Our networking events

are always successful, and even though I have invited everyone personally, I always seem to come away with a bit more of an insight into the industry, and a few leads for new business. It’s great to have an opportunity where everyone can get together, take a look at what the Enterprise Hotel has to offer as a venue, and sample some of the great food and drinks available from the 15/25 restaurant

and bar."

To keep within the Diamond Jubilee theme, guests were asked on arrival to leave a message in the raffle prize, a commemorative book full of pictures from throughout the Queen’s reign, and leave their business card to be drawn out at the end. By the end of the event, everyone had their eye on the prize, but it was Venues.org.uk’s Sales Manager, John Hooke-Tappin, who walked away with the

great book, as a reminder of his day.

April Whitehead, Director at April Communications Ltd and attendee at the lunch, said “The networking environment was brilliant! There was a great mixture of old friends and newcomers which kept it interesting and fresh! The food was absolutely delicious, and the fact the event was themed certainly helped to break the ice when meeting new people.”

The networking lunch carried on until around 4 in the afternoon as guests moved around the table and enjoyed drinks, with an effort made by all to speak to everyone who attended and swap contact details! Positive feedback was given as one by one the attendee’s left for work or home, and ideas are already being discussed for the next one!
