As mentioned in last month’s editorial, the Venues team will be exhibiting at The Meetings Show this July. It will be the second year that we have taken a stand at the show, which is the must attend event for those involved in the UK’s meeting industry.
Our stand number is C51, which is in the UK Hotels and Venues section of Olympia 2. The team will be demonstrating how the Venues site can help to generate event bookings and get your venue noticed with meeting and event organisers.
Our stand was inundated with visitors last year so we would like to encourage you to pre-book an appointment to meet us at the show. Those of you who book will be rewarded with a not to be missed ‘Exclusive Meetings Show Affiliate Offer’. Contact sales@venues.org.uk to find out more.
Organised by Centaur Exhibitions and taking place from 7th to 9th July at Olympia London, the show has been refreshed, redefined and reinvented for 2015. The event combines a hosted buyer programme, education sessions and networking opportunities.
The education programme will include keynote sessions, seminars and Meet the Expert round tables throughout the three days of the show. Up for discussion are topics such as technology innovations, social media, trends, standards and accreditation, and much, much more.
This year, The Meetings Show has forged a partnership with UNICEO (United Networks of International Corporate Event Organisers) to increase the attendance of senior corporate buyers and decision makers. UNICEO’s 200 plus membership will be exclusively invited to attend The Meetings Show as hosted buyers.
The Meetings Show has also teamed up with the organisers of the Sustainable Events Summit for 2015. The Summit has been timed to coincide with the show, taking place on Monday 6th July at the QEII Centre in London. Positive Impact and Smyle, organisers of the Summit, will be focusing on the issues and opportunities facing meetings professionals working towards sustainability, and The Meetings Show will be hosting the Summit’s delegates, providing travel and accommodation for those wishing to attend both events.
More than 400 companies will be exhibiting at the show, giving visitors the chance to meet with the UK’s largest collection of meeting industry organisations under one roof.
