Lord’s Cricket Ground has invested £3.8m in creating two new event spaces which can cater for up to 100 people at the famous venue and refurbished a further space at the venue.

The AEO will once again be running its Sales Conference in partnership with International Confex as part of the show’s educational programme. The conference debuted at the show last year and has been brought back because of the success of the sessions. It will be a day of education focusing purely on effective sales behaviours for event professionals. The conference will take place in a dedicated theatre on day two of Confex.

International Confex will be dominated by some of the biggest and most prestigious hotel, destination and venue brands in the world when the show opens on 2-3 March 16 at Olympia London. Organisers are already looking forward to welcoming back destinations including Tourism Ireland, Glasgow City Marketing Bureau, Visit Belfast and NewcastleGateshead to the show. These will be complemented by up and coming destinations including Southport Conferences, Conference Eastbourne and Staffordshire Conference Bureau.

The Venue at the Royal Liver Building, a new, contemporary event space on the first floor of the Royal Liver Building, is a Grade I listed building first opened in 1911 as the home of the Royal Liver Assurance Group has been nominated for a UK Wedding Award, for ‘Best City Venue’.

Ashton Gate Stadium is the home of Bristol City Football Club and Bristol Rugby Club and is undergoing a £45 million transformation into a state-of-the-art 27,000 capacity stadium including new conference facilities, administration offices, a sports bar, café and shops. The work will consist of three separate phases to the Wedlock, Dolman and Williams Stands. The 86 year-old Wedlock Stand has been demolished and rebuilt and the Dolman Stand has also been redeveloped. The Williams Stand has now been demolished and is being rebuilt into our largest stand as we speak!
