For the second year, Middle Temple will partner with The Nomad Cinema to host outdoor pop-up cinema experiences, following an inaugural event last summer (August 2014). Hosted within Middle Temple’s beautiful secluded gardens, screenings will run over three nights in September featuring two of Baz Luhrmann’s colourful masterpieces: Moulin Rouge! and The Great Gatsby as well as Bernstein’s musical classic West Side Story. Sodexo Prestige has launched a vintage summer pop up café at Churchill War Rooms for the month of August. The pop up café will be taking over the Harmsworth Room, ordinarily an event space for corporate and private hire, and will run each week from 12pm – 4pm, Wednesday - Sunday. Featuring period decorations and furnishings, and a range of vintage tea sets, the café includes a selection of food and drink options alongside a retro sweet shop and ice cream stand.
HMS Belfast’s open-air terraced bar, the Upper Deck, played host to 30 Yelpers, members of the Yelp London digital blogging community, this past weekend. The group were greeted with rays of sunshine, the choice of a complimentary glass of champagne or Bloody Mary cocktail, and invited to take in the views from the alfresco roof- top bar.
