The Woodlands Conference Centre in the town of Chorley has been confirmed as the location of the forthcoming Lancashire Carers' Forum annual event.
Highlighting its versatility, the venue - which usually plays host to corporate conferences - will welcome hundreds of guests, including representatives of the county's social services department as well as a number of advocacy and voluntary organisations.
In addition to information stands, guests will also be able to take part in specialist workshops and round-table discussions, aimed at bringing them up-to-date with the latest developments in the caring profession.
Commenting on the event, Joanne Miller, carers' development officer at Lancashire County Council, which is providing the funding, told the Chorley Citizen: "This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Lancashire Carers' Forum, and with this in mind, this years' conference will celebrate a decade of driving forward positive change and support for carers."
The September 10th event is likely to attract people from across the county, with Chorley benefiting from good links with cities including Manchester, Liverpool and Preston.
