5th October 2022, Birmingham: For the second time, The Birmingham Conference and Events Centre (BCEC) will return to host this year’s much-anticipated Welcome Reception ahead of CHS Birmingham on 1st November. The party will be a celebration of the city of Birmingham, its heritage, creativity, food, and leading events industry.
The event will take place the night before the main show, and will follow in the footsteps of some well-remembered industry get-togethers that have taken place ahead ofCHS Event’s exhibitions. Guests will be treated to the full force of BCEC hospitality and creativity, with Black Country gangsters the theme of the event.
For them, it will be like walking back in time to the 1920s. There will be full theming throughout the venue’s main space and entrance, turning it into a large-scale pub, horse props, and plenty of photo and selfie opportunities. There will also be themed food service stands, a mini shot bar, and table props.
Entertainment will include live music, themed food and drink, and a truly immersive experience with actors joining the party amongst the guests. There will also be a theatrical sequence at the end of the event with a memorable finale!
Commenting on the arrival of the CHS Birmingham delegation, Nikki Morris, General Manager of the Birmingham Conference and Events Centre, said, “We are extremely excited to be able to partner with CHS for the 2022 Welcome Reception. We hope everyone is ready to step back in time and be immersed in the best black country bash in town!’’
“Everything we do at the show is a celebration of Birmingham, and the creative heads at the Birmingham Conference and Events Centre have really pulled something special out of the bag,” commented Julie Phillips, Chief Operating Officer, CHS Birmingham. “It’s going to be more than just a themed evening; it’s going to be an immersive and enjoyable experience that will get everyone’s minds whirling ahead of the show the following day.”
