Organisers of Leeds-based industry event, The Conference and Hospitality Show, have reported a 20% increase in both exhibiting companies (to 132) and floor space compared to 2014.
The show, held on 24th March 2015 at The Centenary Pavilion, Leeds, is also reported to have experienced a 30% increase in hosted buyers, with a total of 262, and total attendance at the show rose to 742, compared to 600 in 2014.
CHS Group MD Emma Cartmell commented: “The show was voted a resounding success by both visitors and exhibitors. The positive feedback has been overwhelming. We moved the VIP area into the Papakata tepees this year and freed up an extra 20% of floor space in the hall, but that quickly sold out. We now have some important decisions about how we grow the show for 2016.”
Ellie Jones, business development manager at Alton Towers Resort took three members of staff over to Leeds for the show and reported “genuine enquiries and plenty of leads to follow up”.
Ellie followed on to say that the show had provided a great opportunity to change visitors perceptions: “Buyers were aware that we hold teambuilding events but it’s been a great platform to discuss our purpose-built conference centre and two on-site hotels, too.”
New exhibitors for CHS 2015 included Ardencote Manor, Ashridge House, Calders World of Travel, CGC event caterers, Chelsea Football Club, Cvent Europe, Emirates Old Trafford, Experience Nottinghamshire, Hilton Manchester Deansgate, Horizon Leeds, Horseradish Venues and Catering (Chester Racecourse), Hotel Football, Land Rover Experience North Yorkshire, Park Plaza Leeds, Sandals and Beaches Resorts and Trump Turnbury.
