Planning consent has been granted for a new hotel near Manchester's Trafford Centre, which will include large conference suite.
Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council has given Peel Holdings the go-ahead for the £30 million development.
It will be 15 storeys high, with over 200 bedrooms and a 500-seat conference facility, plus meeting rooms, located close to the M60.
Peel says it is aiming to gain a four-star rating for the hotel, which will also feature a restaurant and bar area, spa, gym, and swimming pool.
The company - which built the Trafford Centre and also operates Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Durham Tees Valley Airport, Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield and City of Manchester Airport - says it is now in talks with contractors to take the project forward.
Earlier this week, the Bolton News reported that Kearsley Mount Methodist Church is to undergo a £400,000 refurbishment to transform it into a conference centre.
