The Liverpool Boat Show is set to take place at the northern city's historic Albert Dock, it has been announced.
Being staged at the Liverpool venue from April 29th until May 8th, the event is being organised by Marine Industry Events.
The Sceptre, built in 1958 by a syndicate from the Royal Yacht Squadron to challenge for the America's Cup, is one of the yachts which will appear at the show.
Chris Ball from the Sceptre Preservation Society told BYM Product and Industry News that the Liverpool Boat Show will play an important role in the Sceptre's history.
He stated: "The team at Sceptre Preservation Society who work to keep the boat at its best have spent some time in Liverpool before and we are delighted to be bringing Sceptre back to such a historically rich area."
According to organisers of the event, the Liverpool venue is the perfect location for the show, offering a "glorious" dockside setting, alongside "superb" facilities and hotels.
