International Confex has decided to make paper press packs a thing of the past. At next year’s show, 20-22 February 2007, exhibitors will be asked to provide online press packs which journalists will download using Confex branded USB memory sticks in the “digital” press office.
“The digital press office will allow journalists to collect and collate more images and information than ever before meaning both journalists and exhibitors will benefit,” said International Confex’s event director, Duncan Reid. “This green move will not only benefit the buyers and exhibitors, but the environment as well. It seems so wasteful when you look at how many press packs are thrown away after a show, it was an area we wanted to address.”
