Harrogate International Centre has won the Gold award in the Business Tourism Category at the Enjoy England Awards for Excellence 2007. Known as the tourism industry ‘Oscars’ these awards celebrate the best in English tourism and this year’s ceremony was held at Banqueting House in London.
“We are delighted to win this award for our Queens Suite, which was built in response to client need. The suite provides adaptable event space for up to 600 delegates and interlinks our 2000 seat auditorium and eight "exhibition":http://www.venues.org.uk/searches/exhibition_venues.asp halls,” says HIC director, Stuart Quin. “We continue to evolve the centre and invest in our facilities. We have recently added the 1930’s Sun Pavilion, based in Harrogate’s Valley Gardens, to our venue portfolio and in early 2008 the Grade II listed Royal Hall will re-open following a multi-million pound refurbishment.”
