Cumbria's Rheged Discovery Centre has been nominated among the three best conference venues in England in the enjoyEngland Awards for Excellence 2009.
The facility is up for the business tourism gong and will find out whether it has won the prize at an awards ceremony to be held at the National Railway Museum on St George's Day, [April 23rd].
According to enjoyEngland, the accolade is granted to the enterprise which offers event and exhibition venues with a particularly high level of service.
Rheged is up against Imago at Loughborough University and ExCel London.
Laura Johnson, business development manager, tells Business Gazette: "It's fantastic to be nominated for such a prestigious award with two of the biggest names in the business - it's testament to our fantastic team of staff."
Meanwhile, MacDonald Ansty Hall recently won the prize for customer award at the HRS excellence awards, beating the Balmoral in Edinburgh to the title.
