Elm Grove Conference Centre, based in the University of Roehampton, London, is amongst the 93 buildings which have been shortlisted for this year’s RIBA London Awards 2018. For 50 years the RIBA awards and prizes for buildings have championed and celebrated the best architecture in the UK and for MJP Architects work to be shortlisted is exciting for both Roehampton Venues and the University of Roehampton.
The aim of the design of Elm Grove is to provide conference guests at the heart of the University’s campus a state of the art Conference Centre with a 140 seat space, break out spaces, catering facilities and roof terrace overlooking the rejuvenated historic views above the tree canopy towards central London. This opened in September 2016 and has enhanced the experience of guests and delegates attending events and academic conferences.
