Chelsea Football Club has won the contract to host the opening audition for the seventh series of Britain’s Next Top Model on 22 November 2010.
The international reality television programme is fashion’s fiercest competition and it is estimated the audition will attract hundreds of aspiring models ready to strut their stuff at the iconic venue.
Chelsea FC is the only London audition site for the show, and is the first of six to take place around the UK in the next two months. Britain’s Next Top Model will use the venue’s diverse range of facilities for the audition; the large Drake Suite for the auditions themselves complete with a red carpet runway for the models to practice their walk, medium sized Hollins and Tambling for holding areas and four hospitality boxes for interviews over the course of the day.
Simon Hunter, Head of Venue at Chelsea Football Club comments: “Winning the contract to host the first audition for Britain’s Next Top Model is fantastic. With such a glamorous event, including a national television audience of around 500,000, the competition represents a superb opportunity to showcase our flexibility and adaptability for all kinds of events to a wider audience”.
Luke McFarlane, Series Producer at Britain’s Next Top Model comments: “We’re delighted to host our first open auditions at Chelsea Football Club. With its fashionable address near the King’s Road and its high profile, the venue is an ideal place for aspiring models to audition and will be a memorable start to the new series”.
To audition, head to Chelsea Football Club on 22 November from 9.30am/6pm. For further information on Chelsea FC go to www.chelseafc.com.
