For one week in August The Deck at the National Theatre will open to the public as a pop-up summer cinema club screening National Theatre stage favourites.
The pop-up cinema will be open for afternoon and evening screenings during 11th to 16th August 2014. If you missed James Corden’s Tony Award-winning performance in critically acclaimed comedy One Man, Two Guvnors or failed to secure tickets for Dion Boucicault’s sparkling Victorian comedy, London Assurance with Simon Russell Beale and Fiona Shaw you can book your comfy deck chair now to enjoy exclusive screenings of these on-stage hits, surrounded by spectacular views of London’s skyline from The Deck’s panoramic terrace. Both productions were filmed live on stage while they were playing at the National Theatre.
Tickets are available from 7th July and priced at £25 for adults and £20 for children (18 or under), including a personal film fan’s feast of a loaded Brazilian hot dog, sweet and salted popcorn and a welcome drink. London Assurance will show at 1:30pm daily and One Man, Two Guvnors screenings will show at 7:00pm.
The Deck takes full advantage of its Thames-facing terrace, offering an awe-inspiring panoramic view across London. The Deck’s ultra-modern translucent building and expansive outdoor area combine to make this venue an elegant and sophisticated choice for events.
