The Meetings Show is set to return to Olympia London later this month with a stronger international focus than ever before, thanks to new and expanding exhibitors from around the world.
Already established as the leading event for the UK inbound and outbound meetings and events industry, this year visitors to the show will notice a substantial increase in international exhibitors as they walk the show floor, with stand space taken by non-UK exhibitors increasing 18% year-on-year.
The growing international presence at the show is partly due to the 23 destinations and partners exhibiting at the show for the first time, including Jordan Convention Bureau, Philippines Tourism Board and Barbados Tourism.
This has also been bolstered by a significant number of international exhibitors choosing to increase the size of their stands at the show, following a successful two days of meetings at The Meetings Show 2018, with Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau, Business Events Canada and Korea Tourism among those who will be returning with a bigger presence.
These international destinations and venues will join more than 700 exhibitors for the show, where they will have the chance to attend pre-scheduled appointments with event planners attending on the hosted buyer programme, as well enjoying heavy footfall from the thousands of visitors to the show.
Commercial director Ross Barker said: “Growing our international exhibitor base has been a key focus in recent years, so I am delighted to see so many new destinations joining The Meetings Show in 2019. After revamping the show last year with a new two-day format, all of our exhibitors are seeing an even better return on their investment and time out of the office, which has resulted in many increasing their physical presence with larger stands. For event planners, The Meetings Show offers all the inspiration they could need for planning events in the UK around the world, along with networking opportunities and an exciting education programme that makes it an unmissable event.”
Taking place on Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 June at Olympia London, The Meetings Show will bring together more than 4,500 industry professionals for two days of meeting, networking and learning. For more information visit www.themeetingsshow.com.
