Terry Wogan will be hosting Weston Park’s classical music and firework spectacular on Saturday 29th July. The radio and TV celebrity will be joined by conductor Jae Alexander and the English National Orchestra who will perform a programme of popular classics as well as the traditional flag waving music associated with the ‘Last Night of the Proms’. The evening begins with a choreographed aerial display by an original World War 2 Spitfire while the orchestra performs the Dambusters March and 633 Squadron. “Wogan is wonderfully charismatic and has a very relaxed style,” says sales and marketing manager, Kate Thomas. “He will really suit the picnic-in-the-park style concert that people have become accustomed to here at Weston Park and I’m sure he will be a very popular choice with the crowds.” Tickets for the show can be obtained by calling the Ticket Hotline on 0845 225 6020 on line at www.musicalassociates.co.uk
