In addition to a spacious 200-seat lecture theatre with integrated audio-visual technology, the Museum has a dedicated events suite located on its top floor, perfect for dinners and evening events. The space is licensed for civil ceremonies and civil partnerships with up to 200 guests too, and outdoor events can be hosted on the Museum's iconic waterside Colonnades.

Description

Located in the historic Royal Albert Dock, which originally opened in 1845, Maritime Museum tells the story of one of the
world's greatest ports. It's home to a variety of ship models, maritime paintings, colourful posters from the golden age of liners, and even some full-sized vessels. The Grade I listed Museum, which has HMS Conway's anchor at its entrance, also tells the story of Liverpool's links to the ill-fated liner, Titanic.

In addition to a spacious 200-seat lecture theatre with integrated audio-visual technology, there's a dedicated events suite located on the fourth floor of the Museum with unrivalled views of Liverpool Waterfront and Royal Albert Dock, which is perfect for dinners and evening events. The space is licenced for civil ceremonies and civil partnerships with up to 200 guests too, and outdoor events can be hosted on the Museum's iconic waterside Colonnades.

The building also houses the International Slavery Museum and Seized! gallery, a partnership between National Museums Liverpool, the Border Force and HM Revenue and Customs. This means that there is ample space for entertaining guests should you choose to include a special talk or tour from one of our curators as part of your event.
